I know this might sound like just another voice crying into the void, another “woe is me” post, but I just need to get this off my chest. I am a loser, a complete and utter failure, and the shame of it eats at me every single day. I’m in my late twenties, and while my parents scrimped and saved to give me an education, I’ve ended up working a low-paying job at a retail store in a crowded mall. It’s a decent enough place, but the salary barely covers my expenses, and the prospects? Nil. Zero. I see my old classmates, my cousins, excelling in their engineering and MBA careers, some even abroad, and I feel like a speck of dust.
Is My Life Destined For Failure? I Can’t Escape This Shame.
