I Was Publicly Humiliated on Stage, But My Heart Found Unexpected Joy

· ⏱ 1 min read · Relationships & Love

As an aspiring actress in Mumbai, I’ve always dreamt of roles that exuded grace, strength, or perhaps a touch of tragic beauty. The stage, for me, was a sacred space where I could transform, become someone magnificent. But deep down, like many young women here, there was always that nagging fear of judgment, of “log kya kahenge.” I prided myself on my poise, my ability to carry myself with a certain dignity, even if it was just a facade sometimes. My family, though supportive of my artistic ambitions, always subtly reinforced the importance of maintaining ‘izzat’ – a good reputation.
