The Unbelievable Peace After Giving Up On Draining Relationships

· ⏱ 1 min read · Relationships & Love

For years, I believed that a good person, especially in India, meant someone who never gave up on people. Someone who always tried harder, understood more, and forgave endlessly. My *dil* was always too big, I thought, and that meant I had to endure. Endure the girl who took a day to reply, if at all, making me feel like an afterthought. Endure the “friends” who’d excitedly chat about weekend plans with others, right in front of me, knowing I wasn’t invited. It was a constant performance, a silent plea for acceptance, and slowly but surely, it was chipping away at who I was.
